St. Croix group plans demonstration on St. John over rape investigation

From The VI Daily News:

"ST. CROIX - More than four dozen residents met at a Sion Farm ballpark on Sunday to plan an Oct.1 protest on St. John with the hope of pressuring police to find the suspects of a kidnapping and rape reported on that island in August.

Those who attended the meeting expressed dismay at what they see as the slow pace of the investigation and said the government must not let racial violence get a foothold in the territory. The group plans to march in St. John on Oct. 1, and some members said they will remain on the island until an arrest is made.

The protest stems from the reported kidnapping and rape of a woman on St. John on Aug. 30. Police have released little information in the case and have said that the FBI is heading up the case. The FBI is also investigating a number of other incidents described as hate crimes, including an assault, vandalism and several arsons."

The rest is here.

I was there when most of this happened, over the week end of Labor Day. I believe Mario Moorhead was on St. Croix. I certainly don't know who committed what crime against whom, I don't know who allegedly kidnapped and raped the unfortunate victim, and I was wondering how does Mario Moorhead know who is responsible? Was he there? Did he witness the crimes? He states in the article that he will make sure the scumbags are dealt with.......who are the scumbags responsible? How does Mario know this?
I can see having a PEACEFUL demonstration to indicate your frustration that the local police are not doing a good job (in his opinion), but to intentionally incite riots and more hate crimes is criminal too. Mario should be arrested for disturbing the peace, and if he is correct about the police not being proficient, then he has nothing to worry about, and will spend no time in jail for his illicit activities.
It's a shame that Mario and the others who plan the demonstration have nothing more constructive to do with their time than to incite racial stress, they really need to get a life.

I noticed in the article that there is a guy named Richard Muhammed. We here in Los Angeles are dealing with a Tony Mohammed. Guys with last names of Mohammed can mean trouble. Does the honorable Elijah Mohammed conjure up good community folks.

"Guys with last names of Mohammed can mean trouble."

Mohammed is a very common Muslim name.

We need to come together as human beings and not point fingers because of one's name, race or religious beliefs.

In the U.S., serious crimes have been committed by the extreme elements of society. McVeigh, Nichols, Rudolph, and Kaczynski committed horrific crimes due to a sick ideology.

Targeting one group is counterproductive.
