A friend has suggested that maybe the name "Coconut Telegraph" is trademarked. Maybe we will need a new name - does anyone have a suggestion?

I agree, I think I've heard of the Coconut name before. How about, "Paradise Paragraphs", or "V.I. Musings", or "The Caribbean Counter"(or Desk Top)...something along those lines..

Flotsam and Jetsam.... flotsam is floating debris or wreckage, and jetsam is stuff thrown overboard to lighten the load! You choose what applies! Don't pay any attention to Bert! JSS3. PS I figured out how to see the postings, so ignore my email! A case of new tricks and old dog!

I believe the phrase "Coconut Telegraph" was coined by Jimmy Buffet...I myself like the song and name of this message board, however you may have some legal repercussions? Speaking of the law, any word on those drinking cops?

Leave it to JSS3 - I do like Flotsam and Jetsam - it also leaves the whole scope of this thing a little more open ended I think. I haven't heard from Jimmy Buffet's lawyers yet, but maybe the change will come soon (or soon come) anyway.

Quite frankly I believe that Coconut Telegraph is public domain. We have been using that long before Jimmy even played at Yesterday's here on Backstreet. I even called our newsletter at Rotary that. I won't worry about it Anthony. Double-check with your lawyer if you like.

Does anyone know what is going on over at the Grande Bay construction project? We purchased a condo there, and heard there is nothing going on after all the excavation. Many thanks to anyone who knows.

The excavation is active. I was over there on Friday and there was heavy equipment working, so I wouldn't worry. The whole is looking pretty shaped up - some kind of construction will probably be happening soon.

Thank you Anthony for the Grande Bay update. We were getting a little worried, it seemed like the excavation was taking forever. Nice to hear a reply from someone who is actually on the island.

Where can I go can I sunbathe in the nude? Just kidding. I think this site will be a great addition. I try to keep current with USVI events, especially the financial situation, and this will be a more appropriate place. Thanks Anthony
