this website is pretty explicit
http://www.dahlias.net/dahwebpg/TuberStor/TuberStor1.htm
and there are others that look informative upon googling.
My grandmother grew beautiful dahlias... dug them up, dried the tubers and stored them until spring every year. The photos of yours remind me of hers - there was a fresh bloom on the kitchen table each day throughout summer. I can't grow them in Florida - surely wish that I could.
Good luck with this project and may you have those beautiful blooms again next summer. _________________ ... no longer a stranger to paradise |

Beautiful Dahlias. I also love them and plant them in big pots every year. I'm too lazy and don't have the space to take them inside every fall. I just buy new ones in the spring. In that way I can get new colors and types if I want to. Maybe not the most economical way, but they are not too pricy. About $5 for 2 bulbs. _________________

Maggy - do you order your bulbs online? |
No, I just buy them in a regular store that have plants. I want to look at them, so they look good and fresh (no mold or anything).
I cas post a few pictures, as soon as my brother fix my photosite. It's his registered domain, I'm having my photos on. I had a beautiful orange this summer. And one red and white. They were both taller than me. _________________
