USVI-On-Line: St. Croix Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews:

Villa Flamboyant 03/23/03
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
We stayed April 2002 at the Villa Flamboyant, which sits half way up the hillside on a well maintained paved road, overlooking Buck Island and with a great view of the Carribean sunsets and city lights at night. The building itself does not look like much from the driveway, but once inside we realized we were in a Frank Loyd Wright "Falling Water" clone! It is an all concrete (hurricane proof!) contemporary laid out with a master bedroom, master bath with double vanity and large shower (no tub), and walk-in closet wing on the east side. There are 2 smaller bedrooms with a common bathroom with shower on the west wing. The center section has a kitchen (somewhat outdated) and laundry room in the rear of the house, with a living room (with cable TV!), wet bar with a boom-box stereo and dining room in the center, and a huge open covered veranda in the front, which overlooks the 9ft deep swimming pool below (no hot tub). We brought walkie-talkies to communicate between the 2 bedroom wings at night. The bedroom wings are air conditioned and locked up very securely at night and during the day while we were away. We did have to buy 2 cans of ant spray, used daily, and I had to clean the cob

webs from the ceilings in the living room and outside veranda area. (Bedrooms and baths were

clean.) It has a charcoal grill. You can rent it with confidence through Bluewater Travel. You can see some pictures of the villa at: http://www.travel-caribbean.com/villarentals/villas/rhouse.html
