Reviewers Rating: Great
I had read the trip advisor reviews before we went on our trip and started having anxiety attacks about staying at Maho Bay. I am back home and wanted other's to know my opinion. First of all, the mosquitos were not that bad. We saw people with bug bites but we used Deet repellent and these cool wrist bands and didn't get bothered at all. The tents are clean but you have to remember that you are camping. If you prefer air conditioning then go to a resort hotel and spend lots of money.
We had a fantastic view of the bay from our tent porch where we relaxed with some beers after a great day of snorkeling. Right there in Maho Bay - just walk right into the water and check out by the rocks between Little Maho and Big Maho - the best snorkeling spot on the island !
The food at the pavilion was reasonable and delicious - my daughter who is normally a fussy eater loved the food so you know it was good !
Just beware that there are many steps to walk up and it can get tiring if you are not in shape.
You will enjoy your stay if you are in the right frame of mind.
