Treasure Ridge - Chocolate Hole Hillside 09/14/2004
Reviewers Rating: Stars Excellent
Treasure Ridge is a new villa that was being completed last year while we stayed next door in The Temptress villa. Treasure Ridge offers 2 equally spacious master bedrooms at the back of the home. They are on each side of the door as you enter the villa. The bedrooms are identical in size and layout. They both have king sized beds quiet remote controlled a/c units and a large closet. They also have cable TV in each but no VCR or DVD. The bathrooms have a pedestal sink, shelving unit toilet and a large glass block shower.

Past the bedroom doors you enter a great room that includes the kitchen to the east and the living room to the west. The kitchen was quite nice. Plenty of room to prepare our meals and adequate utensils and dishes. We only ate one lunch out so the kitchen did get a workout. The living room is had very comfortable wicker furniture. It also has a flat panel widescreen cable TV with a VCR/DVD combo. There was an adequate stereo.

The upper deck was about 10 feet wide and provided shade until about 3 p.m. Down some stairs you arrive at the pool deck. Treasure Ridge has one of those white molded fiberglass pools. The pool was perfect for the two of us to float in. There were two pool floats provided by the villas that were great. Off the pool deck is another smaller bedroom. There are two twin beds pushed together in this room. The room is much smaller then the upstairs bedrooms. The bathroom is also very small down here. There is also a nice clean laundry room with new appliances off the pool deck.

This villa is very private on the pool deck. The upstairs interior and deck are relatively private as well. You do have neighbors pretty close by but not visible. Temptress is next door and canít be seen at all. We hardly ever heard the folks staying there. Just below and to the east of Treasure Ridge is Papaya. You could see the pool and some of the deck of Papaya from the eastern corner of the upper deck. You could hear the visitors to Papaya. In fact we heard them every morning at 6:30 am. Not sure if is the villa location or just someone with a voice that carries well.

We both agreed that we would rent this villa again even though we did have theft while we were there. We had $400 stolen from my wallet on the kitchen counter of the villa while we were lounging on the lower deck of the villa. The intruder was not deterred by the fact that our car was parked out front so they knew the villa was occupied. If you rent this villa be sure to lock the doors and do not leave items of value out even when you are there in the villa.
