This is our second trip to St. John thanks to our friends who in 03 introduced us to this perfect, breathtaking island with the most awesome snorkeling.
My huband and I agree with Sara's review Nautilus was a wonderful West Indian style villa with lots of room, beautiful views and great surrounding grounds.
We also stayed in the master bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we agree the morning sunrise was awesome.
We did have a good size tropical storm come through one night and WOW what a wind & lightening show from the master bedroom! A little scarey but awsome to watch!
The Master bath alone was huge,
roomy, and welcoming. Great A/C.
The kitchen was loaded. A Chief's delight!!
living area is comfortable with lots of books, nice size TV, a great dvd player/surround-sound player with tons of excellent movies. (We know, the tropical storm kept us in for 48 hours so this feature was a blessing and very relaxing. Thank goodness we had popcorn!!)
There were French doors leading onto the veranda from several rooms. Comfortable furniture on veranda with the hot tub on lower deck positioned to watch the sunset. It's pretty private, however, yes as Sara stated, you can see the villa next door but birthday suits are no problem and a must to complete the experience.
Sara, SORRY we most likely added to the iguanas population! When we first arrived only 3 or 4 would appear. However, after the storm, we fed at least 29 iguanas and that number stayed steady on a daily basis. You could hear them running from the cliffs as you opened the French door on to veranda.
To top that off an iguana, we named grandpa, decided one day he could'nt get enough food. So next thing I know, my husband sitting in the hot tub says, honey turn around...quick. LO & Behold the
five foot long, grandpa was heading straight towards me ON THE DECK!
If I can submit a picture, I would because it was pretty funny!! I learned fast they loved bananna's, lettuce, and fruit.
It's a beautiful house and we would stay here again. I do miss the iguana's when cleaning lettuce and eating banana's!
