We stayed at Allesandra for only 5 nights, it seems like we could have stayed forever. This is a great villa, and we will definitely return to spend more time there.
The villa comprises of a main house with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths all on one level. There is a separate apartment with a queen size bed and bath; we did not have keys to this unit so we could not check it out. The location is very nice and there is a nice garden and deck right outside the door. It is a flight of exterior stairs up to the main villa. Allesandra is on Rock Ridge Road up past the Westin and access is excellent. Paved roads all the way and a nice long fairly flat driveway. There is very nice landscaping and the start of a beautiful garden area complete with a bench and beautiful orchids.
The great room of the house is center and is very comfortable. The kitchen is really part of the room and nothing is missed when the cook is in the kitchen…it’s right there! The villa has all ceramic tile flooring, window tint on the west facing doors, ceiling fans everywhere, and A/C in the bedrooms. Here’s the breakout:
Master Bedroom has a king bed, big TV, and nice sized bathroom. There is a door from the bathroom directly to the pool/hot tub deck. The king bed is comfortable (nothing to write home about) and the linens are average. The bed faces West and you can lay in the bed and see STT, we watched the moon set our last night. Very comfortable room and a great A/C.
Guest Room is at the opposite end of house and also has A/C. This room has a queen bed, sitting area w/futon (linens also), 2 sets of sliders and of course a deck off that room. No real view though. When you close this room off to the main house due to the A/C you also include the laundry room, but it’s no big deal.
Living/Dining Room: Very comfortable furniture, although we never sat at the table. There is a nice size TV, DVD player, and 200 cd changer w/bose speakers. We couldn’t get the cd changer to work, but there is also a 5 cd changer in the dining room that we used.
Kitchen: There is plenty of cabinet space (no pantry) to store food and also in the laundry room there is a cabinet with drawers for overflow if needed. The fridge has an icemaker and kept things in great shape. Gas stove, dishwasher, and garbage disposal (switch is in cabinet under the sink). Plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, etc. Nothing fancy, but all new and in good shape. Great lighting in the kitchen from bright under counter lighting to track lights w/dimmers.
Patio: There is a tiled patio that runs the length of the house across the back. The hot tub is on this level and well as the eating “gazebo” (or covered porch) and also the gas grill. A couple of steps down is the pool area and sun patio. The dining gazebo has a very nice ceiling fan and lighting, nice gas grill, and all the furniture is comfortable. The hot tub was nice, but did get cloudy after a couple of days. The pool was perfect to float about or just to take a dip. It gets sun all day so it was refreshing, but not too cold. It’s not a big pool, but it serves its purpose. We enjoyed it several time a day, every day.
The villa has been recently renovated so everything is new and in great working order. Our favorite things about the villa are:
The view is awesome, and it’s very private.
There are dimmer switches and wall controls for all ceiling fans.
The layout is perfect for 3 couples or family. Plenty of privacy with the bedrooms
The location is close to Cruz Bay and is easy access.
Bananaquit feeder. It’s right there off the deck and we loved watching the birds –
We fed them at least twice a day!
