This is a great villa with views over to Jost Van Dyke. I would not recommend it for first timers to St. John because of its remote location. It is only one of two villas at the end of an especially (even for St. John) road off of Centerline. The villa next to it is under construction and work was going on while we were there but it did not bother us. Except for the day we ended up behind a backhoe on the horrible little road.
The villa has two buildings. The first has the living/dining/kitchen on the upper level and a bedroom on the lower level. The other has the master bedroom on the top level and a bedroom below. All the bedrooms were nice with good views. We stayed on the master so we have no firsthand knowledge of the others. There is a large hot tub on the patio between the two buildings. It was in great shape and got a lot of use by us. We both have high stress jobs so we love having the jets work our backs. The pool was lovely and on the deck below the hot tub outside the lower level bedroom. The ONLY drawback was because of the North side location and being tucked into a hill, the pool did not get much sun and was consequently pretty chilly. So we didn’t spend much time there. We usually do lots of pool time but we’ve always stayed on the South side.
The kitchen was great to cook in and very well stocked with spices. This was our second trip as cooler people so I did about half our meals in the kitchen and found everything I needed. There were plenty of towels and the villa company Private Homes for Private Vacations was a pleasure to work with. Thanks Mary-Phyllis and John. In fact, our next trip in June/July will be at this villa. It is our first repeat rental.
