We stayed at Waterlemon Villa over Thanksgiving week 2008. This is a beautiful villa that looks over Coral Bay Harbor.
This is a 3 BR, 3 bath villa. A BR with twin beds is on the main floor as is one of the bathrooms. The other two BR's are on the the lower level, which is accessible via an indoor staircase. The lower BR's are equal queen suites, with outdoor showers with a view!
The kitchen is beautiful and very well appointed. The pots and pans are of superior quality (cuisinart, I believe). There was honestly nothing missing from this kitchen. There was a coffee pot, blender, pancake griddle, wine opener, decent knives, plenty of dish towels, nice cutlery, dinnerware, plastic glasses and dishes for outdoor use. We did quite a bit of cooking at the villa and had all that we needed. There is a nice Weber grill outside the door at the bottom of the driveway which has a nice little table and chair. A great place to have a drink while grilling.
The rest of the upper level consits of the LR with TV, CD player, DVD player and wireless connection. The furniture is comfortable. There are some books, games and DVD's.
The best part of the upper level is the screened in porch which runs the width of the villa. It's a way to be outside without the bugs. On one side, there is a nice rattan set of a couches and coffee table. The other side is a beautiful iron dining table. We ate every meal at this table, except for once when it was a bit too windy. So much of our time was spent out on this porch - eating, reading, card playing, relaxing, gazing at the twinkling lights, etc.
There is also another balcony on the lower level. Both bedrooms have sliding doors which lead out. There are a couple of rocking chairs there.
The pool is small, but very nice. The deck is big and there are a couple of loungers and another table with chairs. The downstairs level can also be accessed from the pool deck. There is a washer and dryer on this level, housed in an outdoor storage area. There are plenty of beach chairs, rafts, coolers for the beach stored under here.
The drive to the villa is a bit challenging, but after the first time or two, it becomes old hat. You just need to take your time as the last bit of the drive is not paved and is a bit rutted. That said, the drive would not scare me away from staying there again and did not take away from our experience at all.
The location is great. Easy access to North Shore beaches as well as Salt Pond. Also easy to pop into Lily's Market on the way home from the beach to get what we forgot the day before!
Would stay here again in a minute!
