Maho Bay Campground 03/12/02
Reviewers Rating: Great
If you are staying at the campground, chances are you will happen on the restaurant. If you are on a boat in Francis Bay, you might not think of this for your dinner arrangements, but I urge you to take a flashlight and venture up the stairs to a wonderful view and a terrific time. We were there for Mediterranean night (Saturday), and the entrees: lamb kabobs, tilapia, salmon, grilled chicken breast and stuffed zucchini all had Mediterranean seasonings along with orzo salad and red cabbage and carrots. There are other cuisines featured during the week. An ample salad bar is included in the price of the meal- about $15 each. Beer and wine by the glass are available, and all bottles of wine are $21. We have brought our own wine and not had any problem also. There are a couple of caveats about the restaurant. It IS in a campground, and there is no table service- you order and pick up your meal on a tray, bus your table (even sorting siverware, glasses, etc.) And the walk up to the pavilion is somewhat arduous and dark on the return. However, the view is worth the trip. And didn't you want to work off those calories anyway?
