We had two meals at Aqua Bistro, one lunch and one dinner.
For lunch, we just stopped by for some mahi sandwiches. The fish was very fresh, and the sandwich came on a substantial rool wth tartar sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Decent fries on the side, and you can’t beat the view across the street of Coral Harbour.
Another night we came back for dinner, and sat in the back area. The atmosphere at nigtht is romantic in the back, with candlelight. The night we dined they had a live musician, and he was excellent. We started with a calamari appetizer—which was a little bland, and the accompanying sauce was bitter, but the main dishes were good. I had a local tuna rare seared with a ponzu sauce and some soba noodles and seaweed, John had mahi with couscous and orange butter. Of the two, both were good but the tuna was the best—it was very fresh and the flavors worked really well together. The portions here are pretty huge—we would have been better off splitting something. Service was just fine.
