Paradiso, located in Mongoose Junction, is a wonderful Tuscany style restaurant. If you need a place to relax away from the heat, this establishment is air conditioned, but also has an outside dining balcony for those who opt for the outside air. On certain days of the week (as of July '08: Mon, Tue. & Wed.) they offer a number of 3 course meals for $33. While you might think this type of place might have small portions, we were pleasantly surprised at the large size of the main entree. Our experience began with a very pleasant host followed by a waitress who really knew the art of the profession. My meal started with a salad of mixed greens and a perfect house dressing along with warm fresh made bread served with oil and balsamic Vinaigrette for dipping; true Tuscan experience - yum! The salad was just the right size, since there was more goodies to come later. Then, the main dinner arrived, chicken parmesan over angel hair pasta, and was it ever big! Even though it was absolutely delicious I couldn't eat but half of it, so I took the rest back to our villa for lunch the next day. For the third course they give you several options for dessert. I chose the strawberry shortcake with ice cream. Again, I was surprised at the appropriate size of the dessert. I made sure I saved room for the dessert!

All four of us in our group were very pleased with the food, the Tuscan decor and the friendly staff of Paradiso. Don't pass this place up. It's on the second floor at the front of Mongoose Junction.
