Romantic plant filled courtyard setting with sparkling lights in the trees and flickering candles on the tables makes for a charming atmosphere. Service is very friendly and efficient. Extensive mixed drinks list and a small but reasonable wine list are available. Dishes sampled:

From the pupu platter list: cornmeal-cilantro crusted shrimp, mango-barbeque shrimp with extra bbq sauce for dipping, chicken satay, asian spring rolls, and tempura shrimp. Each pupu item comes with its own flavor of dipping sauce. All were very tasty but our favorites were the cilantro-cornmeal shrimp and the chicken satay. The pupu options are really fun to share, and prices are low—around $2-3 each.

Main dishes: shrimp pad thai served with fried wonton crisps on the side was a little oversauced for my taste, but nicely spicy (without being overwhelming), and featured perfectly cooked shrimp. Tuna with spicy sauce and dan dan noodles was extremely fresh and the tuna was cooked exactly rare as requested. The sauce was both sweet and spicy—very delicious, though perhaps, again, there was a little more sauce than necessary.

Drinks: a raspberry mojito was too sweet for my taste (though the woman at the table next to me had the same drink and declared it “the best drink EVER!” so obviously this is subjective.) Margarita was nicely made.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. You could make a meal from the pupu offerings if you wanted to.
