As a member of the USAF Hurricane Hunters, we've always stayed here and enjoyed it's accommodations. I've come to the Divi at least twice a year in support of hurricane tracking but have noticed the diminished quality this resort has offered over the years. I know island life is laid back but at times it can get ridiculous because business is business and money needs to be made! I now rate this resort as less than satisfactory due to the rude and discourteous staff, rooms have many flaws, cold water showers, bad wifi, and terrible expensive food. I've received better accommodations at regular hotels with one pool and a continental breakfast. If I could convince my superiors to find somewhere else to lodge specialized military personnel, I would but I'm not in charge of funding - yet. I hope the Divi Carina will strive to be the great resort it started out to be - good luck...

It's been a little over two months now since I have returned from my beloved St. Croix, and it's been on my mind every day. The thought of the tropical breezes, beautiful green vistas, soft sand beaches, and the friendliest population in the Caribbean always put a smile on my face and lifts my mood to new highs. And there's no dought that the main reason for my Caribbean Dreams is the Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino.

This visit was in late September. (Low Season) No nightly entertainment; and the staff is cut down in number during this time of year. So they offer very good discounted rates. It had been a little over a year since my last visit and from the moment I drove up on the property, everyone seemed to know my name. What a comforting feeling. The staff had seen some personal changes, and believe it or not, I've never seen more smiles. If I were in the market I would consider buying one of the suites. I should mention at this point that every room or suite has an ocean view!!

Beware!! The BBQ Wings served at the poolside bar and from the Dockside Cafe and Deli are the best I have ever eaten...; PERFECT!! There's times I had to tell myself that I didn't need a second order. Especially while enjoying so of the best made Mai Tia's this side of Miami's famed South Beach. You might want to try a 'Mudslide' as a nightcap sometimes. Oh yeah...; speaking of the poolside bar, they've got a staff there that as the kids say "have it going on...". They are pleasent, interesting, observant, fun to be around. WINNER'S....

Okay...; Okay; I admit it I love this place. It's my "home away from home". Few places that I have ever been, asks so little of you...; and gives back so much. No...; now let's be clear on this. It's not a perfect 10, if that's what you're looking for. Whith the Divi Carina Bay you're going to have to settle with a 9.487. And as I must remind all visitors to my beloved St. Croix...; DRIVE ON THE LEFT!!

Where can I find a September 2009 Calendar of Events for Divi? I've been to a few websites and the calendars are not updated. I also went to the main website at www.carinabay.com and the calendar of events was July 2009.

My husband and I will both be working at Hovensa.
We have stayed there before and also in 2007 stayed 7 months at Colony Cove. We will be there
3 months.

Stayed at the Divi last spring. We love the location and the quite setting.Our room overlooked the beautiful beach.The batender and the lounge was the best We've experienced.The food was also excellen. some small flaws with the building, but the staff was very cordial and helpful.We would love to go back next year.The most relaxing venue either of us has experienced.
