USVI-On-Line: St. Thomas Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews
Renissance Grand Beach Resort 8/25/00
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
By far one of the best and friendliest resorts my wife have been to. We decided to spend our honeymoon there and as it turned out, we were not disapointed. Our room was very affordable and we got alot for our money. From the time we arrived at the hotel till we left after 2 weeks of fun every wish and expectation was met with promptness and friendliness. Although the dining and ordering at the fine resturants was a bit slow, the food and service was excellent. Many free use of water equipment and scuba lessons was a plus in filling the day with excersise and fun. The hotel location was excellent. We were close to Red Hook a popular hot spot for fun and activity and only 3-5 miles from Charlotte Amalie for great shopping. The view of St. John from the hotel was extraordinary, we even were close enough to other hotels that we could walk and dine there. Eating out every day can get very exspensive so outside the hotel there is a small yet fully stocked market that fresh fruit and vegetables can be purchased and brought back to the hotel. Its was like having your own town house because in the room we had a fully stocked bar and frigerator, in room safe and room service. If you are planning a vacation I would recommend the Rennisance all the way.
