Marriott Morningstar Resort 05/25/02

We just returned from a fabulous stay at the Morningstar. It was everything we were looking for. The villas are VERY nice, all mahogany doors, ceramic tiled floors, very clean, and the best part was that they are RIGHT on the beach. Whether you had an ocean or garden view, you were steps from the beach. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and the maid service was terrific. We had complimentary turn down service, and had something different each night left on our pillow-some nights seashell chocolates with mineral water, others banana chips with banana rum.Here you really felt you were in the carribean. Not just another hotel. The beach was one of the best I had seen on the island-not rocky at all, beautiful water, just perfect. The restaurants were really nice,Tavern on the Beach had great views of the ocean, fun beach bar right on the beach, and we also could walk up to Frenchman's Reef for other dinner choices.(Windows on the Harbor was one of our favorites-especially at 6 when the cruise ships were pulling out) We will definitely return here-it was everything we desired for a ST.Thomas vacation.
