USVI-On-Line: St. Thomas Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews:

Best Western Emerald Beach 07/19/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
I read the comment from "dcb" left on this message board while I was trying to figure out how to leave a message. I can not believe that we stayed at the same hotel. He must be a real spoiled brat. We did the same thing, spent 9 days on St. John and needed an early flight out, so we stayed at BW Emerlad Beach Resort. Most hotels charge between 250-500 dollars per night on St. thomas. This was a 179 dollar a night hotel that could sell for a lot more. It was a very nice and clean hotel. The rooms were better than what we had at the Westin in St. John. The Beach was great, I did not see but one cigerette butt and no glass. The food was very good! Our waiteress, Velda, was a perfect hostess. The staff was great, they even helped me mail some wood chimes back home. I would stay there every time I went to St. Thomas. If you need the Ritz at $800 a night, then help yourself. But if you don't want to spend your kids inheritance on a hotel room and want a great value, try the relaxing Emerald Beach Resort. You won't be sorry.
