Although many flights fly nonstop from the United States to the Caribbean and the USVI, connections to some of the other smaller islands are usually made through San Juan, Puerto Rico or St. Thomas. (San Juan serves as a major hub for American Airlines, which has greatly expanded its Caribbean service.)
