We stayed at Luna Vista over Christmas week 2009. This is a very beautiful villa, and we really enjoyed the time we stayed there.
The pictures Bruce and Jan put on their website barely did it justice. The whole villa is very beauty, and tastefully decorated. The large living area is very comfortable, with a big plasma TV, DVD player ( You can borrow DVD from Bruce, he has a huge collection), Hi speed internet, Sofa, loveseat, we spent many time there, relaxing, talking. There is a large covered porch with fantastic views out over the bay; the gas grill brings us many convenience and happiness on the night time. The kitchen is not big, but very beautiful and well appointed. All appliances are of superior quality, dishwasher, full-sized fridge, micro/convection oven, gas cooktop, coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. we did many cooking at the villa, honestly, there is nothing missing from the kitchen.
There are 2 bedrooms, both have AC and king size bed, the master bedroom is east-faced, plenty sunshine on the morning, brings the whole house breezes through the window. The 2nd bedroom has a walk-in closet with cleaning supplies, beach chairs, water toys, coolers, beach towels, and Neat Sheets.
Like the kitchen, the single bathroom was not huge, but was beautifully decorated, that's the first time we saw blue glass tile were used on the vanity unit. The shower was specially designed, very comfortable, and beauty. Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, and all you will need for bath.
Luna Vista is a very relaxing, quiet place to stay, and the location is pretty good, not so far away from town and very close to maho bay(5 mins) and leinster bay (10 mins), a little longer for Cruz bay and cinnamon bay (15~20 mins). The road is not bad, compared with other villas we stayed before. You may need a jeep, but 4-wheel drive is not very necessary.
The last and most benefit, our hosts - Bruce and Jan. They are so nice! And are very helpful during our stay, meet us at the car ferry, show us the road, the place to go, give answers whenever we had questions. We really would like to say thanks again to them, and highly recommend this villa to our friends.
