Villa Taormina: We stayed at this villa twice

We stayed at this villa twice (11/2000 and 5/2002). We rented the villa through the management co. McLaughlin Anderson that has a wonderful website. The villa is located on the east end of St.Thomas very near Red Hook and the ferry to St.John. It is on a private residential drive on a hill overlooking views of Red Hook harbor and St.John. The house is magnificent-built as two pavillions joined by a wonderful terra cotta courtyard with a nice size pool and lovely flowers and palms. The main pavillion is very open with about 3/4 being glass sliders that allow you to experience the wonderful views and breezes. It houses the living, dining rooms and gourmet kitchen. It is designed and furnished in a Balinese style and also has a rap around deck. The second pavillion houses the bedrooms-the master being a king with 4 poster bed and balcony. One of the best things about the house is the master bath. It's huge and all done in slate and stone and custom cabinetry. The shower is totally open and sunken and the whole bath opens to a small enclosed garden area-awesome! There is also a lovely queen BR with mosquito draped bed and private bath and a BR down below with 2 twins and bath. This would be the only possible negative,is that with the configuration of the BRs I wouldn't feel comfortable having small children there. We've had the most wonderful times there and would highly recommend this villa.
