My son just bought round trip tickets to Tokyo for $730 from Houston. IAH to STT for me is $658...that’s just wrong...

I always put mine in a suitcase or duffle. I dont trust baggage handlers with my polar bear. I'm always afraid that it will "get lost" and the suitcase provides an extra layer of security.

We stayed at the Green Iguana. I wanted a place with a full sized refrigerator to make sure my frozen food stayed that way. It was clean, the beds were comfy, the a/c worked, the price was good, and the owners were very nice...I will stay there again on our next trip...

We leave plenty of money on St John/St Thomas, too. The Lovely Wife's prefers spending money on pretty rocks to wear on her fingers, wrists, and around her neck, not on food...lol

I use a Polar Bear soft sided cooler. I used it this summer on our trip to Nassau. After 36 hours, most everything was still frozen...what wasn't frozen was perfectly fine...and they're having their 2 for 1 sale right now...

Maui Revealed is a great guide. One thing that wasn't mentioned was the Nakalele Blowhole. It's pretty awesome to experience the power of the ocean. The road to Hana is an all day experience. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the waterfalls. Iao Valley is pretty awesome, too. Honolua Bay is picturesque...

I've been to Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. There are some good spots where the currents and the ocean swell aren't too bad. But, the water is colder and I much prefer snorkeling on St John to anywhere I've snorkeled in the Hawaiian Islands. Don't get me wrong, Hawaii, especially Kauai, is stunningly beauti...

We've had no problems with Cape Air. It's fun flying sideways in the thermals over Puerto Rico and doing a short field approach and landing because a heavy is right behind you...it's really exciting...My son got to sit in the co-plots seat...he loved it...

Three or four nights on Oahu's North Shore...just long enough to see Pearl Harbor and climb Diamondhead...then head to Kauai for at least a week. Kauai is stunningly beautiful...
