Thanks everyone!

Ok, so now my question is this, what's STJ like when there's a cruise ship there? Never had that overlap on my two previous trips. Should we be avoiding north shore beaches? Cruz Bay? Any other tips?

December cruise ship schedule?

Now that it's December 1st I was hoping to get an idea of how many ships will be in which port what days. It looks like only November is here:

Does anyone happen to have a link?

Thanks!

I've done a night dive but never a night snorkel... any suggestions on what snorkel spots would be best (considering getting there at night and whatnot).

My first inclination would be to stumble (crawl) out of the beach bar and into Cruz Bay ;)

Hey, going to be there in 3 days myself!

Someone posted this link in the other forum:

According to that forecast Saturday onward looks much much better than today.

Produce availability

Hey All, We're leaving for St John in 6 days! Our first time in a villa, and we're excited about being able to prepare some of our own meals. We're working on getting some meal plans together. Having never shopped for produce on St John I'm not exactly sure what's going to be available. I was quite ...

Charlotte Amalie - St John ferry schedule

Hey All, Can anyone report on status of the Charlotte Amalie - St. John ferry? vinow.com says that it's running half schedule, but virgin-islands-on-line.com doesn't mention that on its schedule. On top of that I believe I've read in this and the "other" forum that it's not running at all....

Can I expect to purchase live lobsters on island? If so, suggestions on where and what a reasonable cost would be?

Thanks!

Earl / Serendipity / Time lapse

Time lapse video from Serendipity from yesterday:

Looks like things were getting VERY rough right before the feed stopped around 5:46pm. Does anyone know the status of all the moored boats this morning?

Earl / Spicecam / Time lapse

I know time lapse videos seem to have been popular here (I was inspired after seeing some on this forum), so starting yesterday I started grabbing 1 minute intervals of the popular cams. I'm at work so haven't had a chance to get much together, but I figured I'd share one from the Spicecam from toda...

Haha, Yes! But, we've been collecting for some while.

I guess I have a small pocket on one pair of swim trunks that could fit 2 or 3 markers.

So I'm as concerned as everyone else about lionfish. I've got a couple hundred wine corks so was planning on making a couple dozen markers for my upcoming trip to the BVIs. My question is this, when you're out snorkeling, how is everyone carrying their markers? How many are you taking out on a singl...

BVI info

Long time lurker and very occasional poster. We're booked for our 3rd trip to St. John in December--bringing two other couples who've never been. Very excited but it's a long time to wait. That brings me to my question--we're actually going to satiate our island desires by going sailing for a week i...

Chocolate Hole Construction?

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me if the construction marked on this map is still active?

I'm looking at a villa in the vicinity and am hoping that whatever was being built there is finished.

Thanks a bunch,

Mike
