Re: July August accomodations.
Take a look at Sunset Ridge Villas, especially for August. I could go on about it but they have a website and you can see for yourself. http://sunsetridgevillas.com/index.shtml They have just rebuilt after the hurricanes and have done a great job rebuilding. We are there now (or here now) and can at...

Re: Oh the changes in St. John from 8 years ago...
Wow what a terrible trip you had. Things really have changed since we were on island in March 2017. We never had a bad day and it sounds like every day of your trip was pure hell. Hope you find an island that is more to your liking. Smiley face, thumbs up etc. We seem to be on island at the same ti...

Re: Oh the changes in St. John from 8 years ago...
I expect my attitude on this is a component of my age (late 60’s). I have been around long enough to know that change is inevitable and sometimes regrettable but always unavoidable. While it would be wonderful if St. John’s march into the future had stopped the moment we all had set foot on and disc...

Re: One nite on St John
We will be arriving on a Thursday this March. We took advantage of the lower prices on airline tickets, thinking we could book two nights at Tamarind Court and were told of the three night minimum. So we booked our jeep for two more nights and booked two nights at Concordia. I think less the two day...

Re: Trail Bandit map
Thanks for the reply. We are looking to mount, frame and display them in our 6 units at Sunset Ridge Villas. Actually Bob lives close by to good friends of ours in NH who introduced us to the island 20 years ago.

Trail Bandit map
I am looking to get my hands on a few unfolded Trail Bandit maps suitable for framing. His old website is unapproachable without a username and password. He used to sell the maps either folded or rolled and unfolded. Can any old timers lead me in the right direction?

Re: new timeshare fees
I could rant and rave about this for hours but it is not like timeshare owners do not pay taxes. Every owned interval has a title/deed. So every timeshare owner pays property taxes just like all other property owners do on the island. We are just being taxed again for visiting our property. The stru...

Re: Cruz Bay options
Just to add something to the mix, take a look at Sunset Ridge Villas. It is a timeshare above Sirenusa that may have units for rent depending on the time of year you want to come. It is only 6 units and each unit consists of two buildings with a lot of private open air space between them. The views ...

Re: BillVT’s Trip Report: The Zoot
We did try snorkeling. We went out from the beach and snorkeled toward the backside of Mardenboro Point. It was very grassy beginning from the beach and then it got silty making visibility very poor. We sort of gave up as we worked our way to the point. We could have of gone into Borck Creek but I a...

Re: BillVT’s Trip Report: The Zoot
liamsaunt: According to Robin, the manager, the seaside cottage was subdivided from the rest of the property and is separately owned but also for rent. I can’t give anymore details than that. Just in case you are contemplating purchasing it. It is up for sale. I should mention that while talking abo...

BillVT’s Trip Report: The Zoot
We left Estate Zootenvaal yesterday to a pleasant homecoming here at Sunset Ridge. We shared our unit with last week’s owners yesterday and today so they don’t have to suffer the mayhem of a Saturday departure. They cooked us a delicious dinner in return. As for Zootenvaal, and as you would suspect,...
