Linne's diary from NY, STT, STJ and STX, part 2

TRAVELLING TO ST. JOHN, SERENDIP, CARNIVAL Early up in the morning, a swim in the sea, breakfast at the terrace, packing the last things. Very important. Remember my pillow! Today is the day where we are going to STJ. The islands I'm in love with without having seen it. Only read what forum members...

beds

to Jmq. I wasn't aware that it is not only in hotels and houses for rent that king and queen bed are so popular. As I understand you it’s also common in the family? If I were a businessman in USA I would start a business selling double beds and convince the Americans that they will sleep much better...

Thank you for the nice comments to my report. Glad if someone enjoy it. It took a long time for me to write, and I also had to figure out, how to bring pictures. And to my Scandinavian "sister", yes it was a "dejlig" time, and "skål" to you too, Rick. I'm working on my ...

Linne's diary from NY, STT, STJ and STX, part one

This will probably be the longest trip report/diary you have ever seen. My husband and me have been on vacation for 23 days, and the trip has been so eventful. I want to say thank you to the forum members on different boards, who have given me so much good advice. Hope you will like to read about ou...

Hello again! I am back and want to share our experiences and some photos with you. But I have the same problem as Maryanne, I think. I have uploaded the pictures to webshot, but when I copy the URL adress to the topic, and preview it, I can only se the adress in the post, not the picture. Will it ap...

Thank you for the report and the beautiful pics especially the family on the beach in STJ. It was nice to have a report from STX too. I have never heard about the beer-drinking pigs. Where can we find them? We ourselves will stay on STJ and then travel to STX – with Cape Air- Hopefully they will fly...

I’m glad that you don’t blame me my English. In fact I’m learning when I read and write here(you Americans use a lot of shortenings, and other words I have never seen before). So I will write a trip report, when we are home again. I cannot promise to bring pics. I don’t yet know how to do it, and I’...

You have to forgive me my bad English, my excuse is that I normally do not use English, only on vacation. To write here therefore cost me a great effort, and I have hesitated for some month before I started. “Rubin” should have been “Ruby”. I was sure that the word has to be spelt in the same way as...

Please, cross your fingers for us

Only five days left before we leave our home for 23 days. First night Manhattan, then STT, STJ and STX, last night Newark. I'm so exited. Even though we have travelled a lot, I have never been in this part of the world before, and I have never, ever used so much time to plan a vacation or made such ...

LSU Beach Tiger Just because you have seen a European couple behaving strange, you cannot judge all the European people. When we are on a beach, we are normally very quit and try to find a place so far away from others as possible. I have seen Americans here in Europe who too example are very noisy,...

Thank you everybody. Now I know what at noodle is!! A special thank to Anthony, who has given me a good start of the day. I’m an elderly woman and trying to see myself as the girl in the drawing made me laugh so much that the tears rolled down my cheeks. And I’m still sitting here with a big smile o...

Hello again! Thank you for your answers. I really like this forum. You are so active and helpful. I do not consider myself as a stupid woman, but now I have more perhaps stupid questions. As I can see a yard is 0,914 m, which means that 35-yard should be about 32 m. I can manage that, if the sea is ...
