Except the Villa Amarosa web cam faces Tortola. The power plant and incinerator plant at Pockwood Pond belch some smoke.

AA owns 268 MD-80 class airplanes, with an average age of 18 years old (!) They still use em on the JFK-STT route and are prone to equipment problem delays at the gate. I don't think AA has ever operated the MD-80 series into STT from anywhere. Currently 757's, Eagle ATR-72's from SJU, and perhaps ...

AA runs some 763's and 772's between LAX and MIA. Narrow-body STT from MIA

DL runs some 763's and 772's between LAX and ATL, and 763's between SFO and ATL.
Narrow-body to STT from ATL

US may run 762 from CLT to STT seasonally, but looks like no wide-body to CLT from the left coast.

Re: Thanks again!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. All the villas you listed looked great. Some were unavailable unfortunately. We ended up booking Miles Away. It looks really nice and I like that it has an alarm and is immaculate! Thanks! You won't be disappointed- we stayed at Miles Away this past May. Great t...

Ditto on Miles Away- ADT alarm system that I can attest really works- I accidentally set it off and quickly reset it. ADT called the villa within a minute or so to ask if everything was alright.

And... Miles Away is a great villa too!!

I quite sure that's a re-start of seasonal MSP-STT service by Sun Country. Flights operate Sundays Jan-31 through April-04, 2010.

Also, the return flight stops in SJU.

We've rented both Perelandra and Miles Away. Perelandra is nice, but Miles Away hands down is the more "premium" of the two- newer, nicer, better amenities, very well appointed. Still only 10 minutes to Cruz Bay, yet on the end of a very quiet street in a private setting. Never had a issue...
