Re: LL Bean photo

I think it is Ram Head looking back at Blue Cobblestone Beach. I thought the same thing about being overdresssed.

LL Bean photo

Have you seen the photo on the opening page on the LL Bean website (2 hikers, rainbow in background)? Look familiar?

Re: Honeymoon/Solomon Access in October?

We were there in September 2015 however we hiked in on the Lind Point Trail. The main gift shop shack was open but the concessions/drink stand was not. You will be able to rent chairs and watersports equipment. Watch for specials on-line. With a promotional we were able to "rent" everythin...

Re: Philly to STT

Check the fares out of Lehigh Valley (ABE) Airport. The flights aren't non-stop but I found flights from ABE in late February for $516 pp. They usually aren't a great deal but we jumped on them becasue of the convenience. The connecting flight is in PHL but when I looked into the price of flying dir...

Re: Trip Report – May/June – Part 2 – A Trip of Firsts

I stayed in Cruz Views # 7 (Happy Hour) in early July. It was clean and very comfortable. This is the unit that is just below the pool, the steps actually go down from the pool deck. I was very pleased with my stay. If you are looking for basic accommodations with a nicely maintained shared pool thi...

Re: Extra Virgin Bistro - location?

We just came back from vacation. We had the pleasure of dining there while on island. Our meals were exceptional. As previously stated, I don't think there is a bad seat in the restaurant as there isn't really a view to take advantage of. even though it is right on the street it actually felt very p...

Re: seaweed

I agree with Coconuts. We just returned last week and there was very little seaweed if any on the north shore beaches.

Re: Coral Bay Marina Update

I resent my email. It was very easy. This project really disturbs me and the article that bdkane posted only serves to disturb me even more. Please consider adding your voice to save Coral Bay from "Tommy Bahama meets the New Orleans French Quarter"!

Re: Kayak/Snorkel trip

I've heard good things about Hidden Reef as well. We haven't used them but I know there are others that recommend them. We met the owner before we went out on a snorkel in Hansen's Bay. She was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable.

Re: Kayak/Snorkel trip

I highly recommend a guided tour through Arawak. We took a guided snorkel/kayak tour of the mangroves in Hurricane Hole. We met them at their store in Mongoose Junction but we met others that joined us in Coral Bay. Truly awesome snorkeling in an amazing ecosystem. The only caution to this tour woul...

Re: Stargazing in St. John

If he doesn't chime in I recommend sending a pm to "Coconuts". You could also search his posts because he has touched on this in some of his posts. He is an avid stargazer and can probably provide some good tips. I do remember that he posted some pictures from one of the north shore beache...
