Re: The road down past the Denis Bay monstrosity
It used to look like a beautiful tropical jungle where those photos were taken. They had the money to buy a magnificent site in paradise but were too stupid to appreciate and preserve it. I know authorities are looking here and elsewhere to see what the public interest and attitude is. I wish every ...

Re: Denis Bay mess makes NY Daily news
Thanks. Message sent. In the beginning I actually thought the "all they can do is fine me" attitude wouldn't work when it came to the National Park but now I'm not sure because it looks like they have taken no action at all. I hope he looks at the comments here in "a little constructi...

Re: a little construction problem
As stated in the earlier post the only real consequence may be the exposure of this story. If this got media attention in the states and their past, present, and possible future clients were aware of this it would have an effect. Their work here speaks for itself and the photo posted would be a tota...

Re: a little construction problem
What great post. I don't know if folks who haven't been up there can imagine the magnitude of the damage to the National Park lands and the situation it presents for Jumbie, Denis, And Gibney. It makes you mad and want to cry at the same time. Whats next? The fact that opening of the old historic Na...

Re: Former Sago Palms Villa?
We were the last guests to stay at Sago. It was basically forced out of existence to create a view for the new villa towards STT and the environmental damage was well underway when we were there. The beautiful old trees had already been removed and the grading of National Park land had begun. We rep...

Hugo is so right in his/her post. Also, I just returned and you don't really notice the windmill unless you look hard because of the color. What you can't help but notice is how busy STJ is becoming and how fast the uniqueness and local vibe is being altered. Every so called improvement and developm...

Stoped at that spot with my family for lunch two weeks ago. Out of all our trips to STJ, the Christmas through New Years was the best ever. The locals were so courteous and friendly it just seemed to feel like home. Did just about everything and went everywhere you can go on land or water. Finally g...
