Thanks for that report. You did a great job. A few sentences had me laughing out loud. I'm happy you all had so much fun...don't ya just wish you could stay three weeks next time?

Thank you for the compliments on the wedding pics. We were fortunate to have our friend come down and photo the wedding. We did stay on the east end. We stayed at Cameron Cove and liked the location so close to Pelican Rock with good snorkeling everywhere out there. Just a short walk down to the peb...

I really want to write a trip report, especially because I received so much help here. I tried to write a daily report, but I'm not familiar with attaching pictures and pictures are worth about a thousand or so words... If you want to see some nice pics of my son's wedding you could go to this... I ...

This might sound corny to some. Funny thing is I am writing it as the clock just turned to 11:11. We just went down for my son's wedding. My other son died when he was 15. We visited shortly after and I know my son getting married really felt it was a special place. My son who died would always say ...

I get cold easily and the water didn't bother me a bit. When I got out and there was a light breeze I did want a quick towel off. One day someone in our party said they were chilly in the water. I think maybe it was from too much sun the day before. We brought spf 50 and reapplied a couple times. Su...

I should mention we tipped generously on the island. Funny thing is though, we were lucky enough to buy Mr. Guy Benjamin's book My Beloved Virgin (I'm such a bad typer, can't underline title). We talked to him for awhile and he wrote such a nice author's message in the beginning. He said the book wa...

This one confused me when we were recently there. Private villa from vrbo. The villa itself was very nice. The view was beautiful. Way out on the eastend and because of flight delays did not get out there until 1:30 a.m. Talk about a long day! When I woke up the first thing I had to do was sweep the...

Hi. We just came back from our son's wedding so I asked my new daughter-in-law this question to help you. We stayed way out on the east end. Past Vie's, past Sloop's. They had one villa; Dad, Mom, and our daughter had another. Her reply to the question was maybe next time we would be more centrally ...

Yes. That is one of the great tips you will get on this forum. I felt guilty throwing so much stuff that would be recycled here in NY in the dumpster. Recycling should be one of St. John's top priorities. It seems like bottle redemption could be profitable to someone, but of course I don't understan...

I wonder if it is the same guy we saw when we left on the 21st on the 9:15 ferry. He had on some sort of long water suit, blood dripping down his face, pulled a towel out of the dumpster. It was quite sad. My daughter was going to give him a piece of chicken she hadn't eaten, but he disappeared arou...

Sea-nile,
This is the first I have come to the off-topic forum. I saw your note and wanted to offer my condolences to you and your friend. I hope knowing others care has helped.

sweet plantains question

Hi. I am trying to decide where we should eat after my son gets married. We are staying on the eastend so I thought maybe not Cruz Bay area since it would be after dark. My son likes fine dining and appreciates nice presentation. They will still be dressed in their wedding attire. His bride to be is...

On the phone with travelocity again today for two hours, most of which was on hold. My hubby walked in while I was sitting there and he said he would call airline direct. Some helpful customer service woman at AA had us arriving on St. Thomas earlier than travelocity had ever mentioned in all their ...
