Re: Trip report...of sorts

Nice report, Pete. You certainly nailed the service by Daphne and by Capt. John. They, along with St. John Spice are the very best reasons to visit St. John. Nice work, my friend.

Re: Gluten Free Food

I have found that nearly every restaurant on STJ is very aware of gluten intolerance and very accommodating in offering gluten-free options. Do not hesitate to call any particular restaurant ahead of time and discuss what they may have on the date you hope to be in their restaurant. One thing I did ...

Re: Paris - Where to stay?

Thanks jmq. I was just telling PJ that I would like to find an apartment in a residential neighborhood with a mixture of small shops, cafes and markets, and it sounds like some of the areas you mention fill that bill. We will dig deeper and see what we can find.

Rachel does not have email but her phone number Is 340 771 2986 and that is the best way to reach her. I am not sure what her current per person charge is but she will be glad to tell you when you call. Highly recommend her.

Pia is absolutely right, as usual , but I would recommend the Red Hook Ferry over the CA Ferry. It's a leisurely taxi ride and if you get there early for your ferry there are wonderful island beverages in the Terminal. As they say, Time flies when you're having rum. Have a great trip.

Nice shots captkirk. Going to have to try to visits the Haulovers next trip.

I agree about editing underwater shots, however the Canon D10 does have an Underwater setting on it which takes some of the initial haziness away, especially when you have some slightly murky conditions.
