Overrated: The Baths ("yep, those are big rocks...") Skinny Legs Vie's ("We drove all the way over here for THIS and now have to pay to use her beach?!) Underrated: Inn at Tamarind Court (breakfast and Greek night especially) Sundog Cafe (Mexicali dip)

Pia (St John Excursions) and Sue (Palm Tree Charters) both referred us to the same group also looking to share a charter that week! We are anxious to finally make it over to JVD for a day. I also exchanged several messages with Joel of Cruzin Away. We would definitely use his charter as well. You me...

Anyone care to share charter to Jost week of July 18

We (2 adults) are returning to STJ July 16-23 and want to spent part of a day on Jost. Guess we could check out the ferry, but a small, faster boat would be SOOO much more fun! The two charters we're considering are Palm Tree and Born to Rhumb. Lion in Da Sun also looks fun. Anyone interested in joi...

We'll be there 16-23! Can't wait since we didn't get to STJ last year (Jamaica instead; BAD choice)

We'll be there April 17-25. Didn't get to go last year, so we are EXCITED! Can't wait to catch the first glimpse of Cruz Bay from the ferry.

Excellent question! Two years ago we went to "Greek night" at Tamarind Inn. I can't recall which night it was, but they had 3 or 4 other themed nights during the week (different chefs/cooks for each different cuisine). Can't recall the other cuisines, except Mexican. The prices were very r...

Pipergal, Nancy B's directions are good. We stayed there 2 years ago and LOVED it. Since it's the last villa on that road, we thought it seemed private; never heard neighbors. It has great views and a security system. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house, so would be great for 2 couples. Bedro...

Liamsaunt, Sounds like you already made your decision, but we've stayed at Mooncottage and thought I would put in my two cents. It's an amazing, exotic, secluded place with great views. Two reasons it wasn't on our short list this time: no a/c and no lockable doors. We stayed there in 2006, but unle...

Totally agree with traveler22 about a/c in at least the bedrooms. For us, the heat in August would be too much without it.
Let us know what you decide on.

SRT - We ate there last month and it was great! We were there on Monday night; Greek night. The next night was either Mexican or Stir Fry. We liked our meal so much, we considered going back the next night. I think they do themed dinners approx. 4 nights a week. We were told it was a different chef ...
