Hey, Mit - where does it say that YOU get to decide the validity of an adult's decision to be anywhere at any time? When I'm on vacation (and sometimes when I'm not) I often stay up, and sometimes out, until the wee hours. You are entitled to your own paranoia, but not to impose it on others.

Remember those "things that make you go "Hmmmm"? I'm thinking it would be mighty interesting to cross reference the posts of those who absolutely must have new rash guards, dresses, flip-flops, Tevas, NeatSheets, pedicures, glue-on lashes, etc., etc., yada, yada, yada with those who i...

Actually, for anyone traveling after April first, cell phone coverage will be a moot point. After many years of legal wrangling among politicians, regulators, and the business community the VIJI (Virgin Islands Jamming Initiative) will be instituted on that date. An idea by the Virgin Islands Touris...

I just noticed on mycokerewards.com that there is a program to support schools by pooling reward points. All Coca-Cola company products are eligible and anyone can enter codes. One person gets designated as administrator and "purchases" the school supplies to be sent to the school. Sorry, ...

As everyone else has said...r..e..l..a..x! You won't be on the "prison ship" this time, you'll be on your own time. If you can get to island time, all the better. There is no dinner seating time; no time to get off the boat; no time to get back on the boat. Don't worry, the island won't sa...

There's a major flaw in that logic. Business travelers have always paid MORE for the same flights largely because they can not book months in advance. Their higher fares have served to offset the lower fares paid by leisure travelers. With those higher business fares being rarer the airlines will ha...

YOU RUINED MY VACATION!

I swore off the booze on day two when I saw a turtle wearing specs.

A provisioning service would work a whole lot better if they also would, for a price of course, accept shipments from the mainland and keep them cold until V-Day. Pack your own, ship it Fedex, or use an online Meat/fish packer. (Someone mentioned Omaha Steaks - my experience with them was bad - tiny...

Remember, you can't spell routine without r-u-t. You're on vacation - mix it up! Do it differently every day. Some days get up early, some days sleep in. Stay up late and listen to the sounds of night, or go to bed early and get up before the sun. One day eat nothing but junk food, some days nothing...

At 16 and 20 I'll bet they can figure out how to check out the menus and decide for themselves. They're plenty old enough to be eating "big people food"...of course the young uns don't always like to run with the geezers. If that's the case, just buy an extra loaf of bread and package of b...

"Somebody has to keep track of what time it is!!!!"

Uhh, why? Seriously, this is vacation time. Are there many people out there who need to be controlled by the clock even when on island time? Somehow that just doesn't seem right.

Rum Website

For a pretty authoritative source on different rums look up ministryofrum.com. I met the guy who operates it on the beach (really at a bar on the beach) in Nevis a number of years ago. Tough life, his. He spends most of his time sailing from island to island doing "research".

B&J have captured the Nevis experience most accurately. I'd only add that the "Beach Bar" referred to by another poster was probably "Sunshine's", the home of the "Killer Bee" - a drink, not a pet. It is directly adjacent to the Four Seasons resort - "A hundred...
