Re: St John Christmas Ornament
Thanks John,
We went to Mongoose Junction and when we saw the store we realized we were mistaken about the location. It wasn't by the park, it was the store at Mongoose.

St John Christmas Ornament
Hi Everyone,
My wife used to buy a St John Christmas ornament every year from a little store that used to be where the yogurt place is now next to Cruz Bay Landing.
Does anyone know if the store moved or where she can find an ornament this year?

Today we saw and felt them on the left side of Cinnamon Cay. We left an went to Vie's and it was fine there.
The scariest part of Cinnamon was when we came back in to the beach someone had transported us to the Jersey Shore... Good Grief...

Re: Ticket concerns since merge of US Airways/ American
We reserve our award flights as soon as they are released 330 days out. Most years there are a couple changes. This year my seat has been changed twice. Both times, my wife's was the same seat but I was moved to another row. I was wondering if my wife was secretly trying to tell me something! :) It ...

Re: Stereos on the beaches/ littering-
Ah yes, been there done that. Our last trip we had Francis all to our selves until some local kids showed up with their party. Loud music, some already drunk, and evidently we had their favorite spot. A couple of them actually came and told us we had their picnic table and sat down until we decided ...

We love Fischer's Cove. Not fancy by any means, but clean and comfy. We get the lower Hotel rooms with the AC.

Re: What airlines are you using now to get to the islands
We are very limited unless we feel like driving 3 hours to RDU. Therefore we will still fly US/AA out of OAJ. Yes, there may be an extra stop in MIA, but as long as we can get there before sunset, we won't mind too bad.

Re: Grande Bay vs Gallow Pointe looking for feedback
We have not stayed at Grande Bay. However, every year we think about staying somewhere else, but we keep going back to Gallows. We would miss the sunset view from the pool and the direct access to the snorkeling. Maybe we are just comfortable being there. We love the easy walk into town as well. Mos...

Re: Caneel Public Beach - Public Unwelcome
Maybe the new management will be kinder to the non-guests. The only problem we have had is a security guard tailing us until we got to the beach and then sitting there watching us during our entire 1 hour stay on the main beach, then following us to Honeymoon before leaving us.

Re: Need a new credit card with travel benefits
Points vs Miles = Apples vs Oranges. They are not the same thing..... We use Airline Cards because the only benefit we are interested in is free award flights in the off-season. The miles cards works better for us. If our flights in the off-season cost $1,000 if would take 100,000 "points"...

Re: Carry on question?
Like kklay, we also had to purchase new smaller carry-on bags. The new ones are hard sides. The ones we used for years were soft side with zippered compartments on the front. The problem was if we used the compartments, the bag expanded too big for the new stricter agents. A note on gate checking. O...

Re: Carry on question?
It all depends on how picky the Airline personnel are that day. It would be very tough if you tried to carry on a bag that was deemed over-sized and you had to check it anyways. We used to always do carry-on only, but now we just go ahead and check a bag so we have plenty of room and don't have to w...
