Where to stay in St. Thomas
My sister and I are planning a trip to STT next April. We are looking for someplace where it is quiet, and a beach that is not crowded. We are not planning on renting a car, but plan to take taxis. We'd like to keep rates at about $150 night, or less. Any suggestions? this forum is awesome, as we fo...

A real highpoint: our annual lunch at Shipwreck. I always order whatever quesadilla they have, but this time the cook outdid himsel...

Thanks to all who answered so many of our questions! Given it was Easter week, we ended up renting from Hertz($70), survived driving through Roadtown to see the botannical gardens then got out of there fast!Stopped at Nanny Cay-loved the pottery shop suggested, Bamboushay! My husband was enchanted b...

Ok! Thanks so much for the warning about the roads! Good to know in advance.
Sounds like Smugglers is the place to cool off before taking the ferry back.
Thanks for the info!

renting a car vs. taxi tour of Tortola
We are on STJ and plan on taking the ferry to spend a day on Tortola. We'd like to tour the island, travel the Ridge Rd, do a little shopping, find a place for lunch with a view, and try a beach.
Any restaurant/beach/travel recommendations?
Taxi tour or rent a car? Thanks so much!!!!

from STJ to Tortola
Yes, I can see how confusing this question was. My brain is on island mode! We are staying on STJ and want to take the ferry to tour and enjoy Tortola, just for the day. I believe we dock at West End. What is the best way to see the sights, must-dos, lunch? We can rent a car from Hertz for about $83...

From STJ to Tortola
We decided to do Tortola this year and Jost next year. I think the ferry brings us to West End. How do we tour the island? Spend some timecruising Great harbor? Lunch ideas?

Jost van Dyke & Tortola
We are planning a day trip via ferry from Cruz Bay to Jost Van Dyke, and if possible, on to Tortola. Is this doable in 1 day? What is recommended we do on both islands?....tours, lunch, places to see? If we do go on to Tortola, is there a place for dinner that is recommended? I imagine we'd be at th...

Company to call to make a reservation?Any idea how much for 1 day? I think the cost of a driver's license is $10? If we take a taxi t...

Thank you all so much for this wonderful information!
The link was so helpful! As my husband is a non-swimmer, looks like we may do Limnos, and will consider the ferry.
You guys are a treasue! Thanks again!
