The camera we used underwater is a Canon A630 with the Canon underwater housing. Most, if not all of the land shots were done with a Kodak DX7440.

Hi Linne The post from Chicagoans has a better picture of how a "noodle" can be used as a flotation device. The NH II crew can also give you an inflatable flotation vest, and I believe they can use the dinghy to bring you ashore. The sea water in the Carribean is very salty and you will di...

Try these folks: http://rxdivemask.com/ I too, bought a mask at a dive shop and the opticians they recommended had a turn-around time of at least 4 weeks. I found the folks at the above web address and am very satisfied with the results. I think turn around was a week or slightly more. Bi-focal lens...

We, SuefromMa) and I used the Canon A630 with the Canon underwater housing in April. It is a great combination! The A640 boasts 2MP more resolution, but we are happy with ours. The shots can be cropped to gain a "closer" looking shot, but the outfit is not so bouyand as to make a differenc...

Bodacious Beer Babes, I expect you will need a DD (Designated Driver) and I am happy to volunteer. I do have some sick time saved up and I am sure Sue will let me go. She has complimented me personally and in her trip reports on my "keep lef mon" (here we go again with the quotes) driving....

My forum name means that I am so old, we have grandchildren and they call me "Pappa Jim". "Pappa" is more appealing to me than "gramps", "gagga" or "grampa", and they differentiate between grandfathers by adding our first name or nickname after "...

Okay, I cannot be a lurker any longer. It is time to be a man and respond, although I hope wifey doesn't throw a hissy fit:  I have been thinking of cutting away the liner in my bathing suits to make them more "comfortable". I have been cracking up reading Jorge and others too ...

If you get a couple of those silicone bags for drying and plop them in the housing when it's not in use, it will take care of that prob...

Hi I am not familiar with your camera model, but I can vouch for the quality of the Canon waterproof housings. We have the Canon Powershot A630 and the case for it. It is very well made and almost all of the features are accessible. That said, the small viewfinder is blocked by the construction, but...

I only have to login once. If I want to check for PM's, an additional login is required of me. Incidentally, I only login to do that just that, check PM's or to reply to a post. Other than those times, I revert to my "lurker mode". 8)

The airport is to the right and out of the view of the room pictures, but far enough that the noise was not a bother for us. SuefromMA (wifey) could expand on my comments.

The noise is not a problem. There are no fumes at all. It is "close" to the airport, but the plane traffic stops around 6:00 PM, if I remember correctly. BW Emerald has a nice beach, beautiful pool and so close to everything. Try it, you'll like it! :D
