There is a mooring ball quite close and 2 more within a reasonable snorkle. The fish and coral are abundant - the concrete moorings of the original site are still visible but of little interest as far as searching them out. Go by boat for sure or you could leisurely work your way out from the VIERS ...

Bayer - yes that is the exact site I use - it puts the 10:22 / 4.0 at 57 mi. from Charlotte Amalie - and it was a shaking and rumbling event for me - I was just wondering if any other VI forum members have been feeling that one or the others. They are not uncommon here and only reported on my feed a...

The reason you heard them tonite was the rainy day - they revel on the damp nights and we haven't had many of late. The rest of your rumor questions must be a Late April Fools post.

While sailing by a deserted island in the VI I was asked by a charter guest : If nobody lives there why did they put a beach there?
Also: Can we go to a beach that is close to the water?

Was at Maho today and it was beautiful but the water was a little cloudy snorkeling so I came on down to the Oppenheimer beach which was perfect, clear water and deserted. A fine day overall as St Thomas burned and smoked at the dump -- downwind in the backround.

For the original post: the IRB is not the IRS -- it is the local Virgin Islands Internal Revenue Bureau which is where VI residents send their income tax money. Same crime though -- same tax policy.

Well maybe not the bridge --- but it sure looks like the empty green land is getting built on at some kind of rapid pace. The 1st time I sailed into Rendezvous Bay there was only 1 house visible and I wasn't with Christopher Columbus but only 30 years ago. Now they have a gate at Ditleff beach and t...
