Given your parameters, Jilld17 is right on. Everything you want and decent snorkeling.

Honeymoon.

Ferry fares

Tradewinds reports that RH to CB ferry is going from $5 to $7 and CA to CB from $10 to $8!

That will change some behaviors.

We like the EB experience enough to stay both the first and last day. We are actually considering more than one day at each end in the future. The goal the first day is to be in the water, complimentary rum punch in hand, well before sunset-4:30 this year. The goal the last day is to be in the bay t...

We were waiting for that equipment in STT to fly to Miami yesterday. USAir, Delta, and Spirit flights landed all around the same time without problems. We were told on the plane after we left that the pilot had warnings of dangerous windshear two times-the protocol in that case is to abort to anothe...

High Tide, whom I think had the best conch fritters on STJ, I thought had closed. Please tell me it is, indeed, open. Shipwreck Landing is overrated, maybe the worse conch fritters on STJ. Hate the cockroaches every time. No way can Maho ever be overrated now. Maybe when the Puerto Rican armada of m...

What's so unusual about a nutmeg grater for the nutmegs still in the shell with the mace on the outside that Nature's sells?
Swim goggles for when I want to exercise, not snorkel.
My wife's favorite coffee.
NPS trail maps so that the NPS center doesn't have to be the first stop.
Angusturo bitters.

Caneel Sunday brunch

I understand that the Sunday brunch buffet is no more. There is now an 11:30-2 Sunday lunch for $35, but no more brunch. Anyone know how the new setup compares to the old? The old brunch with champagne and make your own bloody Mary's was a much anticipated prelude to spending the rest of the day at ...

If you haven't already, recheck an old website of Beyond the Sea (it was also called Villa Magenta at one time). www.onlinevacations.com/BeyondTheSea.htm Of all the houses on Maria Bluff from Cliffside to Villa Maria, BTS had the most dramatic room and deck area, directly above the cliff, not for th...

Other than the previously mentioned Maria Bluff houses from Villa Maria to Southern Cross, Beit Hawa, a Catered To house on Boatman Point, or the adjacent non-rental house are possible.

In my opinion the Villa Maria view is far superior to the others, viewing not only great sunsets and Pillsbury vistas, but also boat traffic/activity into Great Cruz Bay to the Westin. But there has been construction directly below the house at the Sussman property. Check with agent-Catered To.

The worst are the people who back their trucks or SUVs into the few spots torward the north side of Maho and play the music through the vehicle's sound system. Totally obnoxious!
Even at the Jersey shore you can't do that.

I have tried any number of ways to lower the rate during high season-none worked for me. $260/night in February/March is normal-phone, website, Traveler's Advantage, Travelocity, Orbitz, booked way in advance, booked closer in. But, look at it this way, does $260/night sound high compared to your vi...
