Pulley, exactly how much is the Cruzan at Pine? If you buy 4 bottles, you've saved your RT ferry fare from STT!

I've only been in one of their rooms (not Waterfront view), and it was an Ok room. It looks like the furniture was recently upgraded, but the room itself showed a little more wear. I'be heard it can get pretty noisy on the back side, and you may hear loud popping sounds. The hotel is clean and conve...

A dedicated Pandora store just opened on STT, and after checking out the store on Saturday with a friend, we both came to the same conclusion - Pandora beads are more detailed and better quality than competitors. The prices for genuine Pandora are the same as US, but no tax. The non-Pandora beads in...

That "fact" got me the evil eye from my teammates during a trivia session on the Adventure of the Seas, because according to THEM, a mosquito's favorite color is BLUE. They didn't specify dark or light just BLUE. So, first thing I did when I got back was google "mosquito favorite colo...

If you're planning on trying the bus, I wouldn't do it late in the afternoon, because the bus breaks down frequently. Best to do it in the morning, so if there's a problem, they'll hopefully work out a solution before the day is over. They don't always have a back-up bus, sometimes they don't have g...

You Can Still See Magens Through the Rubble!

What a disaster. I hadn't seen that photo. You can see a sliver of Magens through the rubble - see it? Thank goodness the gorgeous view is still there.

Sharks

Here's another idea. Coral World (on STT! Horrors!) has a shark encounter every day where they give you a lecture about the sharks in the shark pool, and you get a chance to touch them. Maybe if she does that, she'll feel more comfortable should she encounter a shark while snorkeling.

There's an immediate need for funds to send the high school bands to the presidential inaugural parade. Just when they had most of the money they had initially budgeted, some new fee to get the instruments there was imposed. The kids have done car washes, bake sales, coin drives, etc. but they're st...

I'm glad this thread was resurrected! I thought the drive was over based on the previous thread, and I just sent something over to STJ today, but nobody knows about the drive or where to take the "gift." I was hoping to get this build-a-robot kit recommended in a magazine for $18, but it's...

FYI. Captain's Corner gets deliveries almost every week, so if you want something, you can sometimes place a special order with the manager and get it within a week.

Scandinavian/European Trees

Last year I went to the VI governor's Christmas reception (it was open to the public, so anybody can go - even nobodys like me!) I was very disappointed with his USA Stateside-looking tree. Shortly thereafter on tv (can't remember program) I saw a tree that had incorporated flags into the decoration...

There's a little food cart in the park in Cruz Bay - Shela's Hot Pot. Many of the taxi drivers eat her food. Opening times are erratic, however, and I don't think she's open at night. Food is take away only. Most of the cookbooks are "Caribbean-inspired" rather than authentic, but check ei...

I've seen another "caviar" recipe using black-eyed peas. I'm trying to amass a collection of room-temperature foods that I can carry for lunches, and the caviar recipe sounds easy, affordable, and delicious! All the things I'm looking for in recipes right now.
