Hi Leiannes and everyone else - First, congrads on your upcoming nuptials! Both Trunk and Cinnamon are excellent choices. I personally lean towards Cinnamon for its larger variety of photo ops and being more removed from the cruise ship traffic that Trunk may experience (it depends on the day of the...

My wife and I have both been in multiple Sirenusa units. Some are ready for renting and those finished units are beautiful. The property has a gated entry and we have had no reason to visit it in the last few months, though. We assume if the owner is listing their property on VRBO it is one of these...

Some friends, my wife and I had dinner there the other week. We sat upstairs. Food was great, I had their meatloaf signature dish and was very happy with it. Prices are reasonable, especially for St. John, which we also appreciate. :D

Hi NCSue - For the wedding coordinator from the mid-west a St. John wedding could be a very big deal in helping her develop a destination wedding business. On the other hand if this is a large or complicated wedding it is not a good idea to go it alone. In that case I suggest she co-coordinate with ...

Hi Nancy - Vida de Mar is a lovely villa. The living space is spread out and the coral beach is below via some steps. You have to go outside to go to some bedrooms. I did a great family reunion shoot there. Villa Rendezvous is one of my favorite villas. It has a large centerpiece pool with the entir...

Hi Loria - My single malt of choice is Glenlivet. It comes in a 12, 18 and 21 year old and is available on StJ. Captain Corner's may be the cheapest price but they usually have only the 12 yr in stock (it is located next to JJ's in the Cruz Bay park when you get off the ferry). Starfish usually has ...

Hi Rickst - Congradulations on your daughter's wedding next year. Being a StJ photographer I love using my tripods too. When I travel I use a Velbon Sherpa with a small Manfrotto ball head (need a good reducing coupler) that I detach. This fits into my 21" wheeled carry on bag where my camera a...

My wife and I were fortunate enough to enjoy his in-villa chef experience and had one of the most memorable meals in our lives. He is absolutely worth the money. We got to go in the spa between courses and it was a relaxed way to have dinner served.

Hi - Taking family vacation portraits is popular and a core part of my own business. I've taken them at the beach, ruins, resort, villa, overlook, on boats, etc. You can check out my website at www.tropicalfocus.com for samples. Most StJ photographers do this type of work and do it well. You can't g...
