Gallows Point 3C?

HI all! We are returning for our 15 year anniversary first week of December and staying at Gallows Point. I thought it would be fun to stay in the same unit again, 3c. I'm not able to get any current pics though, has anyone stayed recently and has it been updated? Trip advisor shows some beautiful u...

Re: 2018 Roll Call

Thanks RickG and Ed for some additional perspective. After the wedding/honeymoon we always returned in April-June timeframe. It was quite a week, we moved our wedding date from 12th to 13th and even had to redo our pictures that following June as it was so wet there wasnt a chance of getting outside...

Re: 2018 Roll Call

We are in the planning stages. We were married 15 years ago during the great Novemer rain, decided there is no place we would rather be! Now trying to decide do we risk November again or go early December. Even with a week of rain, the island took my breath away!

Re: Villa Help - sunsets!

Wow, thanks for bringing this thread back to life! I am so torn, and no doubt that is quite a view from coconuts! My inability to make a decision is going to start impacting availability, we are still somewhat flexible. Ugh!!

Re: Villa Help - sunsets!

Thanks for the additional suggestion of Apito. And Congrats on the baby :D I don't know what is wrong with me but cannot settle on a villa! For all our trips over the past 13 years I have never been this hesitant. If you take sunsets out there are so many options, June is going to come quick! Maybe ...

Re: Aruba/st john

Agree with prior comments. We first went to STJ in 2003 and we have not strayed since, until this year!! My inlaws have a timeshare in Aruba and we finally accepted their invite this past Feb. There is no comparison at all to STJ. It is flat, dry, expensive, casinos/nightlife. Even dress code, Aruba...

Re: St. John Spice Grill Rub

We do the same, so am curious to see some new ideas! Have also done on veggies, my BIL does the mix with soy sauce I think? We do it straight up and grill, try to get a little crust.
I've tried other rubs and that is our fave! Enjoy your trip!

Re: Jet Blue Experience

We have used them our last couple trips, always a pleasant experience. Clean planes, roomy, and love having movie/TV entertainment built in. We fly out of jfk, flew to Aruba and California. Booking for our STJ trip next year too. No complaints and seem to prefer over other airlines, not sure if I ha...

Re: Good Summer/Beach Reads

Huffington Post just released "21 books from last 5 years that every woman should read" in looking at list would say applies to men too! Was curious about this one, has anyone read? Land of love and drowning: a novel by Tiphanie Yaniqye. Described as taking place on St Thomas, not necessar...

Re: Splitting a Trip Between 2 Villas?

We have done a split, however it's usually 3-4 days at one location before moving to our villa for 7+ days. We liked being able to experience Cruz Bay and going out 'to town' early on, then we are okay with hanging at the villa for rest of trip. It also allows us to extend stay and stay at nicer vil...

Re: Villa Help - sunsets!

Thanks chm and Wanda, some other ones I had not considered!! There are so many options and it does seem to limit it some with sunsets as a requirement. When we stayed in Coral Bay we would hit beaches for sunset (which I would highly recommend!!) but by that time it interferes with having cleaned up...

I think you had posted under the 'where have you stayed' thread and were a repeat visitor, that always stands out. Looking for something more private this time arou...

Re: Villa Help - sunsets!

Thanks stevo2916 and lisa mcg. Sol Inclination was at the top of my list this morning, but hoping for a little more sunset view and stills seems big for two of us. Our house is small though (1300 SF), so perhaps we go for the extra space for a change! And those north shore views can't be beat, but d...
