Iguana Bit Me - Anyone else?

I was minding my own business, snoozing on a chaise beach chair and "chomp". It even drew a speck of blood. Any other Iguana stories out there? I swear all the iguanas I saw after that were licking their lips, uggggh!1

thanks

We appreciate the tips. The rotissiri chickens do look good at Star Fish. We must get a really good deal on them in Iowa ($6.99 TOPS) vs. 12.99 here. Still, compared to eating out they are a bargain. We ate at High Tide last night. Split a chicken pasta dish with my daughter, it was great. Not neces...

Hi, Week one with the work vacation is done. Ate at some amazing restaraunts including the Banana Deck, Paradiso, La Roma, La Tapa, High Tide, Chloe and Benards and the Beach Bar. St John's is an awesome island. Now it's on to week 2 with family. We need to be a little more careful with out budget. ...

Sunday Brunch

Hi,

We are currently in STJ with a group of 10. I wanted to go to Miss Lucy's for their Jazz Brunch but others do not want to drive to the other side of the island  Any suggestions for a good brunch?

By the way, we are loving our trip so far. What an amazing island.

My husband and I will be there for two weeks. The first week is a corporate retreat with 4 other couples. We are staying at the Artistic Villas - Beach Villa. I am not concerned about bringing food for that week as we will be eating out for all meals but breakfast. My concern is the 2nd week when we...

Mosquito Patrol

I already have a big bottle of Clariton packed for the trip as well as a bottle bug spray with deet. I remember my ankles being terribly bit up after our trips to STT and Turks and Caicos.

Micro Cooker

I love my Pampered Chef micro cooker. Work great for steaming veggies, making pasta, browning hamburger, etc.. One of my better "party" buys.

Packing food in your suitcase for STJ.

If we have room in our suitcases, any recommendations? Is food quite expensive? My husband says don't bother, I'm thinking if you had 9 kids and a total of 4 adults, why not? At this point I'm thinking snacks and other light weight items.

5 nights of eating out, where would you go? lunches?

5 couples on a corporate retreat. First night we are having catered in :) and need recommendations for the remaining nights? What about going out for lunch? I know we will be hitting the beach bar several times, my husband talks highly of the bushwackers. I've never been to STJ but I have been to STC.

Transportation from STT Airport and ferry to STJ

Looking for transportation for a party of 9 from STT airport to the ferry. There are 2 adults and 7 children under 18. Any ideas on what would be the easiest for this party? My husband and I will already be on STJ and our daughters plus another family will be coming for our 2nd week. We want to make...

Miss Lucy's Full Moon Party & Jazz Brunch

Heading to STJ on Nov. 11 and can't wait. We will be there for two weeks, the first week is a corporate retreat and the second is a family vacation. I think the full moon party will take place on Nov. 12. What exactly takes place during this party? I've been wondering if our party of 10 might enjoy ...
