Re: After 8 long years....Drumbiker's coming "Home"

Two days away! Feeling extremely stressed out - too much to do before we leave. Looking at the 10 day weather forecast and kinda bummed. Looks like temps will be a little cooler than normal and quite a bit of rain projected. :( Hopefully the weather forecasters for STJ are as reliable as those in Cl...

Re: Public Transportation to Ferry Docks

david@va - we've got a washer and dryer at Summerwind - if I wasn't bringing a snorkel mask and my satellite radio boom box, I'd only be packing a backpack!

Thanks 54b - We have an individual with sleep apnea and a laundry fetish that already has dibs on that bedroom....that's my wife so I'm going to have another of the rooms to myself. We're going to let the other two couples toss a coin, arm wrestle or draw straws for the master suite!

Re: Public Transportation to Ferry Docks

Well, it has been 8 years - but I think what we took was considered just the regular public "Bus". You're correct - there was no place for luggage and we kept our bags between our feet. I also remember being a little uncomfortable with some of the looks we got from the locals... But, just ...

Public Transportation to Ferry Docks

So, 8 years ago - we took a bus (more like an open air trolley) from the Airport to Red Hook. Is this still a possibility? We have 6 adults. 4 have never been to St. Thomas or STJ - my thought was to use this experience to show them how much different STT is to STJ.... Also thinking of just taking p...

After 8 long years....Drumbiker's coming "Home"

Hey all, so happy to be back - you can't even imagine....well, maybe you can. 8 years ago Julie and I were married on Hawksnest Beach - for a quick recap (if you're interested). http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/virgin-islands/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12566#.WO-78vkrKUk We've gotten a whole bunch...

Re: Sad

Excellent! The wife and I had a harrowing adventure coming down in'09 to say the least. As we were getting off the ferry I could hear "Drumbiker?.....Drumbiker?...." Made me feel so welcome! Met her at Maho one day with her in-laws, who happened to be in town. Unforgettable!

Re: Sad

Funny I log on here for the first time since my wife and I got married at Hawksnest in 2009 and see this post. The names are still familiar, and I haven't posted since my trip report. We've travelled the world since then - Europe, Asia, more Carribean, and are finally coming back - and bringing fami...

Sorry Folks, but I've got to chime in. This subject is the one "turn off" I have in what I consider to be the most beautiful place on Earth. I don't kiss ass. Not at home, not at work, not in personal life and especially not in business. In particular I do not expect to have to kiss ass in...
