Re: Painkillers aside, what else at Soggy Dollar?
When you get off the boat One Love is all the way to the left. They make the best lobster pasta you will likely ever eat. In the other direction, Ivan's Stress Free Bar is over a short rock outcropping (with stairs carved into it). Ivan's is a great place to relax. And of course you can spend hours ...

Re: Charter to Jost Van Dyke plus snorkeling
While I understand the "complicated" issue, I am confused about it being cheaper. If the cost is $595 + $200 for gas this makes a total cost of $795. For six people, this would be a per person cost of $133 which is less than $150. I guess the complications are due to the per person cost be...

Re: Jimmys on STJ
We have been driving a Jimmy around Tortola for the past week and yes they are limited in power but ... In my opinion the hills on STJ are nothing compared to those on Tortola. I think a Jimmy would do fine on STJ. By the way, does anyone even rent Jimmys on STJ?

Re: Trip report 17 - 24 October (finally)
I really enjoyed this report!! Glad you had a fun time ... just a few corrections. I believe the Beach you keep calling Francis is actually Maho. Francis is past Maho down a rutted dirt road. On the other hand, Maho is right off the paved road and as you discovered is VERY popular with the locals on...

I believe residents are reluctant to pay for the testing when there is no treatment available anyway

We spent all of September listening to them working on the unit. I will be interested to know what improvements they made.

Re: Best weather app.
I use the weather app at weather underground ...
http://www.wunderground.com/weather-for ... 31.1.99999?
but as Kevin said, a prediction of rain just means it will probably rain somewhere on the island sometime.

Re: Any updates on where Lily's used to be?
We have been listening to the sounds of a Jackhammer coming from Lily's every day for the past week. Rumor is that Dolphin Market is putting in an extension there and they are knocking down interior walls. Hopefully they will be finished soon!

We don't hear the roosters any more (I guess we got use to them). But I do have to say that the first couple of weeks were rough! BTW, it turns out roosters crow ALL night long ... Not just at dawn.

Yes they are closed. Remodel is to change the nature of the store ... they will probably not be a general market when they reopen.

Don't know why it tickles me so, but I love the "Bridge Out" sign before the road work on centerline.
