Hi Minde, Glad you were ok, those things are nasty.. Lived in NC for yrs and had one go thru our development on the one side of street. It stripped the paint off our car & took the shed, but thankfully house was ok. How big is the Amish community up there? And where is it? Knew there was one in ...

My DH is battling cancer and I'd like to share a message from his Caring Bridge guest book; it is also engraved on a dog-tag style necklace, given to him by a friend. He wears it for inspiration: "What cancer cannot do... it cannot invade the soul, suppress memories, kill friendship, destroy p...

Re: Connections

Wow! Mailed our USPS Priority Mail boxes to Connections last Thursday and they arrived this morning. We don't pick them up until the 28th! Wonder how much we'll have to pay for Connections to hold them 10 days. I guess it depends on the size and amount of time. Anyone know?? we used the Coral Bay o...

My heartfelt prayers go out to that poor family. What a horrible loss of life. May God give them comfort & strength in this time. Rachel had told us that STT was getting bad, that she won't pick up passengers w/o prior reservations, or if they are just all males from the island. Nor will she dri...

Think you can get a St John map once on the island at either the ferry booth or info booth right by St John Ruths store. It's a good one and we used ours the whole time.

Have a good time and enjoy.

Hello all, So sorry, didn't mean to stir up anything here or critisize anyone. Not my intention at anytime. I was just saying (& as previously stated) that it can be quite a put off when it's repeatedly mentioned here to greet island people correctly so not to offend them, only to have them not ...

I too come from an area that is supposedly known for it's "rudeness" - NYC so don't expect or want alot of kow-towing when go places. Just plain niceness is all we ask. The only other island we have found to be less than friendly was Grenada, that island is one can truly say will never go ...
