Re: Dinghy rental in Coral Bay?

Somehow this question got changed into taking a dinghy to the BVI's. That was not the intent of the question. This was strictly a dinghy rental to cruise around Coral Bay, Hurricane Hole, maybe up to Haulover South if possible. Never intended to leave the USVI's.

Thanks,

Dinghy rental in Coral Bay?

Is it possible to rent a dinghy to explore the south side of the island from Coral Bay? I thought perhaps Crabby's watersports would rent them but I didn't see that option on their website. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Re: Ever had a flat tire on STJ?

Got one just last week. We were driving on North shore rd when the low tire pressure light came on in the rental jeep. We arrived at Trunk and I could see the driver's side tire was getting soft. Luckily our jeep had a full size brand new spare tire and I changed the tire pretty quickly. I rented fr...

Re: Miss Lucy's and Island Blues open?

Thanks Anne Marie for the information.... and for marrying my wife and I back in 2001 on Hawksnest Beach! :D
We have been coming back to the island ever since. Its our special place (as it is for many on this forum) and it all started back on that first trip in 2001.

Miss Lucy's and Island Blues open?

Does anyone happen to know if Miss Lucy's is open this time of year? The St. John Spice list of restaurant closing has nothing noted for them and we were hoping to catch Sunday brunch on our upcoming visit if they were open? How bout Island Blues? Open of Closed this time of year? Thanks to all! 6 d...

Fish Bay/Reef Bay Area Insight

Hi everyone, We are less than 2 weeks out from our return trip to the rock and will be staying in Fish Bay for the first time. I was wondering if anyone could provide some details on the area. What neat things can you go do and see in that area? Is there a place to park a car and walk out on Reef Ba...

Access to beach across from Vie's

With Vie's snack shack shutting down till mid-October, does anyone know if we are allowed to park and use the beach across the street? Any particular permission/fee we need to ask about? Have never stopped there before and was hoping to on our upcoming trip. Thanks.

Re: Pirate Bill

Skinny Legs will not seem the same now. Back in 2009, my son, who at the time was 5, was determined to find buried treasure on the beaches of St. John. I had stopped at St. John Spice and picked up a little bag of pirate treasure coins they sold at the time. Throughout the vacation, I would place a ...

Re: Babymoon?

My wife and I went on a trip to STJ when she was 6 1/2 months pregnant. Everything went well except I was worried all the time. Peace of mind may factor in here for you. A funny but not so funny story is we were on Jumbie Beach all by ourselves and my wife was sitting in a beach chair sunning our ye...

Thanks lprof. Now you brought up a good question for me since we will be on island in October. If Caneel is closed, can you park there to use Honeymoon?

Re: instructions on visiting Caneel

Thanks. So, when you are parking at Caneel and paying $20, that gives you access to what? I was initially thinking if you pay to park, it gives you access to walk around the resort, use the beaches, eat at the restaurants but it sounds like people are saying parking only gives you access to 2 beache...

Re: instructions on visiting Caneel

Based upon liamsaunt's detailed description, does that mean the only "Public" beaches at Caneel are the Main Beach and Honeymoon? All the others are considered private? Thanks.

Re: The Official OT cocktail thread

This recipe was in one of the airline USVI tourism magazines. It happens to be very good, but I'd suggest 2 max if you want to remain vertical. Virgin Islands Ice Tea 1 part Cruzan Dark Rum 1 part Cruzan Coconut Rum 1 part Cruzan Pineapple Rum 1 part Cruzan Guava Rum 1 part Cruzan Mango Rum 1/2 part...
