vow renewal questions

I'm posting this here instead of the STT forum bc it will get more looks. While my family is down in STT next month, my siblings and I want to surprise our parents with a vow renewal for their wedding anniversary. Does anyone know if one is able to get ordained for the day? We may want my husband to...

They are going out on breakaway. It was a wedding gift from me to them. I'll give them a call and see what they want to do. Thanks!

Tropical Wave

Hi there. I've got two friends down there now scheduled to head out on a boat trip tomorrow. I know there is a tropical wave hitting the islands today. Can someone local, (maybe on of our fine boat capts), let me know if it's supposed to last through the day tomorrow? NOAA says it could, but from th...

Just saw that they opened terminal A in SJU for Jet Blue. Anyone been yet? Any new concessions/facilities in this terminal?

You'll be able to find food at the airport that is just fine. There is a full service restaurant, the name excapes me, which we eat at and has sandwiches etc. There is also a subway which I have found extremely fresh. If you are really against the airport choices, French Town Deli is very close the t...

I think only Sugar Bay (used to be Wyndham) is AI. Bolongo used to have an AI option years ago, but I don't know if they do anymore. Let me ask why an AI? Sapphire Beach Resort is wonderful, right on the beach and less then a mile up the road from Red Hook and all it's restaurants. Check VRBO for up...

There are a bunch of good ones. Palm Tree Charters is a favorite. I've used Pirates Penny/Stormy Petral for larger groups. This time around we are going out on Big Blue Charters, they were highly recommended to us. All will cost you around 700 or more w/ fuel/customs. If you don't want to spend a to...

You can get to Jost from Red Hook there is a ferry that stops in STJ and heads over from there. As for the Willy T, you'll have to charter a boat to get there. There isn't any ferry's that go to it.

Off the Hook is no more. Closed about 4 years ago. Is now a restaurant called Fish Tails. The new owners completely gutted and remodeled the place. There is still the open air dining on the marina though.

Minde, the Governer squashed the ruling indefinitly, so no worries:) You'll still be able to get your car and take it over on the ferry in the future. Our voices were heard and it looks like they will be looking in to other alternatives to increase STJ's rental car business. :D

A fair solution?!!! How about keeping it the way it is?! Someone is benefiting from this, I just like to know who. My thought is it's those 2 new ferries that they are leasing. They need a way to pay for them, so how about not letting people take their rental cars over on the barge by forcing them t...

I vacation on STT, but visit STJ whenever we go. This will greatly effect my upcoming visit in August. We will be coming w/ 10 family members w/ two toddlers. Taking the car over for a beach day is our only option w/ everything we tote w/ us. So while the 60 day grace period is great for those who w...

Yes I'm aware that Antilles is no longer there. ERM still uses that sight for booking as well as their own. The layman wouldn't know the difference, so I just referred to it as Antilles. Although, don't rent through ERM in general, rent through VRBO. You will be renting directly from the owner and a...
