Thanks for the trip report. I missed the negativity, even after a re-read. If I were considering that villa, the information you shared is info I'd want to know ahead of time. Would encourage you to share the feedback with the owners. This reminds me I need to get my trip report written and posted. ...

I did this last Thursday with no problem at all. I was on the 6:00 am ferry from Cruz Bay to Red Hook. Took taxi from Red Hook to airport. Arrived at the airport around 7:00 am. Was checked in, through customs and security in less than 20 minutes with plenty of time left over. I did notice the line ...

I like to use credit cards whenever I can, as well. I did run into some places that take cash only -- Deli Grotto in Mongoose Junction; Donkey Diner in Coral Bay. Boat trip I did took only cash or checks. If you go to BVI, you will need cash for customs fee ($20/person). I paid cash for ferry, but n...

In a few days I'll be on my way to STJ for the second time. Last time I flew on Seaborne from Puerto Rico, so this is my first time flying commerical -- American Airlines. I read on this forum to pick up a customs form when I arrive, to speed up check-in on departure day. Also read to pre-print boar...

I would also suggest Trunk Bay for a first snorkel. There is a snorkeling trail there, with underwater signs/markers that I think would be good for kids snorkeling for the first time. Just plan to go early before the parking is gone and cruise ship crowds appear. For first timers -- I strongly sugge...

I took my mother on an Alaskan cruise in 2008 end of Aug/first of Sept. We had a great time. We were near the end of the season and every day it was a little cooler. I suspect May will also be quite cool. Pack accordingly. Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Sitka were our ports. We departed from Vancouv...

NSR - Feb 10
Does anyone recognize today's background photo on NSR? I have no idea where it is, but it looks interesting.
