Re: Request to Visitors

Iheartsj, how did you come to this conclusion? Are you speaking for the residents of St John or from your continuing fear of tornadoes? While some may agree with your reasoning, I don't get it.

Re: 2016 Upper Peter Bay!!

We had our daughters wedding at a villa in upper Peter Bay. Great location with easy access to beaches and Cruz Bay. Only issue was our villa was broken into during the night and cameras, laptops, etc were taken. Local police were of no help and it was even a task trying to get a police report for i...

Re: Coral Bay Marina Update

For those of you that are not familiar with the decision process and politics of the Army Corps I suggest you google the book "Corps and the Shore". My father fought the Corps decision to build jetties on the North Carolina coast to basically serve special interest groups that were pushing...

Re: Recommendations for a trip to the Baths

Check out New Horizons. The trip surpassed our expectations and everyone had a great time. Good value too as they served painkillers all day long and they were included in trip price.

Great photos! I learn more from your fish identification than from a lot of books. Also, who is the cook in your family? I would rather eat at your villa than some of the restaurants on St John.

Hey Dave, our place is about 3 miles from Springer Mtn, the beginning or end of the Appalachian Trail. Depending on which way you are hiking. Wonder how many forum members live in Atlanta and N Ga area?

St John Wedding

Ok, on to something more positive concerning my daughters wedding on St John this past May. Other than the little glitch with the break in the whole experience was one of the best I have had. It was the best celebration I have ever been to and I credit my wife Nancy for all the planning. I highly re...

I have been a long time lurker on the board. Can't thank everyone enough for all of the great advice and information posted. We have been going to St john for 10 years and have been luckey enough to take about two trips per year. Over the years we have noticed locals becoming less friendly but that ...
