Re: Making the 3pm RedHook Ferry....
Seems doable to me. Biggest hangup can be waiting for taxi to fill up or potential stops along the way but you have taken that out of the equation.
Also frequently our flight is early potentially giving you a couple extra minutes.

Re: CA Ferry
We gave up on the CA ferry years ago when it was actually more reliable. Don't remember the exact hours but say we were there 20-30 minutes early for the mid-afternoon ferry. Wait till around 20-30 minutes after departure when ferry finally shows. They say, "no we are the next ferry at 4pm not ...

Re: Decision Decision
I personally have no issue with it. I love Catherineberg. Part of the cost of doing business for the otherworldly views. And they are the best views on STJ in my opinion. Never thought a view would make a big deal but they are incredible. That said if worried it could be an issue, it could be. Bette...

Re: Late Summer ?
Agree, we have been several times in August and only hit one minor tropical storm which forced one day of "villa gravity", not the worst thing. Some restaurants are closed but we have never had a real issue. I hope to be there this August!

Worth the paper it's printed on. Hope they are right but their predictive value is horrible.

Rhumb Lines, first time there thought the menu was pretentious but food was outstanding. More recently the Sunday brunch is always a hit for us.
Zozos in their old location was outstanding. Assume it is the same now but haven't been since the relo, not cheap but food and service were worth it.

Re: Croix Vista Villa
It has been 2-3 years but we stayed there. Personally it is a bit of a drive, that being said we had a great trip. The view is dramatic but I prefer North Shore but YMMV. House is newer in very good shape, would say the pictures are pretty representative. It is a nice house. It does get blasted by t...

My stomach still turns thinking about the guy we picked up on the North Shore. If you have a problem, you really have a problem.

Re: What is the dress code for Zozo's
Granted this was deep in the offseason but we ended up with a $100 gift certificate. I only had shorts and t-shirt. Called them up and they were totally fine, said not a problem and it wasn't. Had a great meal at the bar watching the sun go down. That being said we now take one collared shirt just i...

Re: Ever had a flat tire on STJ?
Yes indeed, wheel was stuck and wouldn't budge with all lug nuts remove. Had to lower the jeep all the way down and turn the wheel before it would come off. We typically rent from caribbeanvillas given some of the challenges at other places and always been pleased with the jeeps and service. They we...

Wow, great pic. Have never been fortunate enough to catch one of those guys out and about. Was this middle of the day or perhaps early or late in the day as the light is lower.

Not unusual to see them around the rocks but can be easy to miss. Would guess a third of the time we run across Hawksbill at Maho.
