Re: Trip report: Two more weeks in paradise, final
2nd! I love your reports, but I'm always up for a villa review for a place we haven't stayed yet! I get nervous when there isn't anything mentioned. Was it good and you are keeping it a secret? Was it bad, and you don't want to bring it up?HughA wrote:Great TR! Am waiting for your villa reviews.

Re: Ever had a flat tire on STJ?
Yes, a few times. We always rent from Cool Breeze and they have met us (once WAAAAY out on the east end, and really close to their closing time) with a new rental, and took care of it themselves. We were not charged. That being said, we didn't do anything to cause the flat. Also, a tip: ALWAYS check...

Hi Marybeth and Charlie,
Happy Anniversary!
Beautiful photos. It was fun to meet you and be your *partners in crime* at Maho, lol. I think we were all troopers for dealing with the shutdown. Definitely made the best of it Hope to see you again someday!

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes...
Edited: To say that this isn't meant to trash national park employees at all (as thought on another forum). The whole situation is surreal and really upsetting. When I think of all the hours my husband worked so we could take this vacation (AND pay for our private health insurance), to have somethin...

Re: Wiener Dog in Paradise and South Shore Villa - A Review
Hi BetsyV - Nobody said she couldn't be left at the villa alone, so we didn't think there was a problem with that. She has never destroyed anything of ours, so we felt safe leaving her. She is good and lazy like that. She is also 12, so she spends a good part of the day sleeping, when we aren't exer...

Re: Fish Bay/Reef Bay Area Insight
We have only snorkeled Fish Bay once. I really loved the 30 minutes or so before my wife saw the baby nurse shark. We have not returned ) : I can see how this might pose a problem. lol. [/quote] We have hiked from Reef Bay Rd to the Petroglyphs on the Reef Bay trail and back. We really liked the hi...

Re: Wiener Dog in Paradise and South Shore Villa - A Review
BarbY - Thanks! Iprof - The pups will not be coming with us on our next planned trip. We took Coco with hopes of finding her a sibling at the ACC, but there weren't any small dogs available while we were there. She did go for a walk with Tito, and really got on well with him, but he was too big to t...

Re: Fish Bay/Reef Bay Area Insight
You can definitely park and walk down a steep, rocky path to Reef Bay Beach. We would not have found it though, unless Pia hadn't been driving by at that very moment and pointed out the path. It was not a huge glaring sign by any means. The beach there is very pretty. When we were there the water wa...
